Our Chelmsford venue is an ideal spot to play padel, offering flexible access, convenient parking, and affordable pricing for members and non-members alike. As an unstaffed, gate-access facility, it’s easy to come and play at a time that works for you. Here’s a full breakdown of our hours, court fees, and other details to help you make the most of your experience.
Opening Hours
Our Chelmsford location is open seven days a week, allowing for early morning and late-night play:
- Monday – Saturday: 8:00 – 22:00
- Sunday: 8:00 – 18:00
Please note that this venue is unstaffed and requires gate access.
Court Pricing
At PDL Padel United Chelmsford, we offer special pricing for members and non-members. Rates vary based on peak and off-peak hours.
For Members:
- Off Peak: £4.50 per player per hour, £18 per court
- Peak: £6 per player per hour, £24 per court
For Non-Members:
- Off Peak: £5.50 per player per hour, £22 per court
- Peak: £7.50 per player per hour, £30 per court
Equipment Hire
Need equipment? Rackets and balls are available at no extra charge and can be found in the grey equipment shed next to the courts. After your session, please return all equipment to the shed so it’s ready for the next players. While we strive to keep everything stocked, availability of equipment cannot always be guaranteed.
Parking
Parking is free and conveniently located onsite within the Great Baddow Recreation Ground, right next to the courts. This ensures you’ll have easy access to the venue without any parking fees.
Coaching Sessions
We are pleased to offer coaching sessions at our Chelmsford venue, led by an external coach. For more information on coaching availability, schedules, and pricing, please reach out to the club, and we’ll provide you with all the details you need.
Membership Options
While everyone is welcome to play at the Chelmsford club, members benefit from discounted court fees. Membership options are available online, and they include:
- Adult Annual Membership: £75 per year
- Over 65s Membership: £60 per year
Facilities
At Chelmsford, you’ll find a selection of essential amenities:
- Equipment Hire – Rackets and balls available at no extra charge
- Free Parking – Located next to the courts
- Toilets – Available at the rear of the building near the car park (open from 9:00 – 16:00)
