On 28th December Chelmsford Padel Club is holding a three-hour coaching clinic with Padel United UK’s head coach Dan Troy and club head coach Kai Woodgate!
This session is aimed at players of any level who are looking to learn more about the sport or improve their overall game. Over the three hours of this session, we will be stripping the game right back to basics to start with and covering all the shots, tactics, and more. A great opportunity to come back between Christmas and New Year to keep all of your padel skills sharp and learn more about the game.
Dan was into a huge variety of sports! He has achieved well over 20 years of coaching, in all aspects of sport coaching and teaching and brings great experience to the club. He earned a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Essex in 2009 and became an outdoor sport instructor. Before university Dan worked on a 1 year apprenticeship in sport coaching in New Zealand. Dan has also worked with behaviour and SEN (special educational needs) students, using sport to the help them with their physical, mental and social health. Adapting his coaching to all ages and to all varieties of people. Dan has developed and honed his skills with Padel United. He has been playing padel for 7 years and coaching for 4 years. He says “the club have allowed me to flourish as a coach, to gain confidence and to learn a new skill set through coaching.” With his time Dan has learned through the tutelage of ‘Hello Padel’ very own Mauri Andrini becoming the head of ‘Hello Padel England’ In the past year he has become regional manager and head of coaching development for Padel United and their venues.
These sessions are open to any level of player whether it is your first time playing padel all the way up to established experienced players there will be lots to learn for everyone with the coaching experience of Dan and Kai. Nearer to the time all entrants will be put into rough ability leveled groups so that everyone can get the most out of the sessions as possible.
