We are pleased to announce our collaboration with SimplyActive to include padel as a featured sport in their Easter holiday camps across Essex.
These sessions form part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, supported by funding from the Department for Education, Essex County Council, Colchester City Council, and Active Essex.
The initiative provides high-quality, inclusive holiday provision, combining physical activities with nutritious meals to support families during school breaks.

The Benefits of Padel for Young Participants
Padel offers an engaging and accessible introduction to racket sports, blending elements of tennis and squash in a safe, enclosed court environment. It is particularly suitable for children, encouraging:
- Development of fundamental skills and coordination
- Opportunities for teamwork and social interaction
- Enjoyable, low-pressure games and activities
- Increased confidence through structured play
- BIG FUN!
Our qualified coaches will guide participants of all abilities, ensuring sessions are welcoming and focused on fun while building lasting interest in the sport.
Free Access for Eligible Children via the HAF Programme
As part of the HAF programme, children eligible for benefit-related Free School Meals are able to attend these sessions at no cost. This funding ensures that more young people in Essex can access enriching holiday experiences, promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and community connection.
We are proud to contribute to this important initiative, helping to make padel available to a wider audience during the Easter period.
Booking and Further Information
Places are allocated through the Essex ActivAte holiday hub and SimplyActive’s booking channels. We recommend checking the official Essex ActivAte website or SimplyActive updates for venue details, dates, and availability, as funded places are limited and in demand.
Whether your child is new to padel or looking to develop their skills, these holiday sessions provide a supportive setting to enjoy the game.
For additional information about our regular junior coaching programmes, family sessions, or membership options, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to welcoming more young players to the courts this Easter.
Thank you for supporting community-focused sport in Essex.
