WHY PADEL?

The sport of padel tennis, which is one of the fastest growing in the world and is being rolled out across the UK as we speak, would be a great addition for all golf clubs and sport centres who have landspace available and want to increase their revenue.

Padel is one of the easiest racket sports in the world and the key word when describing padel is  ‘participation’, anyone in your family can have a game from a 6-year-old to an 86 year-old. A short 5-10-minute intro on the basic rules and you’re good to go, building rallies and enjoying the sport become instant for a unique both physically and mentally beneficial exercise.

Padel tennis can sit perfectly alongside golf and this is demonstrated across Europe with many golf clubs and resorts choosing to add padel to their club. Why not? It is the fastest growing sport across Europe! Not only will it add another dimension to the golf club, but it’ll provide a more family inclusive activity for the whole family to play, whilst other family members may enjoy a round of golf.

Padel is an extremely social sport and when marketed correctly means players will often stay for drinks and food before and after play – meaning not only are you benefitting from secondary spend but you’re enhancing the club spirit.

WHAT IS PADEL?

Padel is a sport which combines action with fun and social interaction. It’s a great sport for players of all ages and skills, as it is both quick and easy to pick up.

Most players get the basics within the first half an hour of playing so that they can enjoy the game. Padel is not as dominated by strength, technique and serve as it happens in Tennis and therefore is an ideal game for men, women and youth to compete together. An important skill is match-craft, as points are won rather by strategy than by sheer strength and power.

COURT DIMENSIONS

A Padel court is 20 meters long and 10 meters wide with the back walls being made of glass up to a height of 3 meters, whereas the glass side walls end after 4 meters.

The walls can be made of glass or another solid, even material like concrete. The rest of the court is closed using a metallic mesh to a height of 4 meters. At the middle of the playing field there is a net dividing the court in two. It has a maximum height of 88 cm in the centre, raising to 92 cm at both sides. These fields are than divided in the middle by a line and another line three meters from the back wall marks the service area.

AT PADEL UNITED WE ARE LOOKING TO EXPAND TO ALL PARTS OF THE UK.

London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham & Bristol are our prime targets – but we invite all applications.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR POTENTIAL PREMISES, THAT COULD BE LANDSPACE OR AN EXISTING LARGE BUILDING.

3 large scale successful applications from round one are already entering the formal planning stage and we hope to be starting construction in the very near future.

Applications: Open Monday 21st February 2022 – Close 20th May 2022.

We will explore all options whether that’s a smaller outdoor venue, an upgrade or addition to an existing sports club or centre or a municipal recreation ground.

However our preference is to invest heavily and build 10 court+ indoor venues.

What we can do

  • We lease the industrial logistic or sports club space and transform it into an amazing padel arena with a lounge area, dinner areas, gym, kids area and, of course, world class padel courts.
  • We build the courts in collaboration with a Spanish based company with more than 40 years of experience within the padel industry.
  • We run the clubs and educate staff, padel coaches and management
  • We raise awareness and create ”buzz” around padel in collaboration with sport profiles and other influencers.
  • We offer training programs, leagues and other types of tournaments.

What we are ideally looking for?

  • A space of 2500-9500 sqm.
  • A minimum of 8 meters as height requirement.
  • Cities with +200 000 inhabitants is our main target.
  • As close to the city center as possible.
  • Deposits/security guarantees are not an issue. We have strong investors backing up our venture.

We will open our first major indoor venue at a location already agreed and more details will follow on this soon. CONTACT US.
