Padel for Good: Padel United UK Brings Sport and Smiles to Local Children

PDL Padel United UK is proud to partner with Changing Lives Community Services (CLCS) to make sport more accessible for young people in Colchester. By offering free court time and supporting CLCS’s inspiring youth programmes, we’re helping introduce the next generation to the joy of padel, teamwork, and confidence through movement.

A Shared Vision for Youth Empowerment

At PDL Padel United UK, we believe sport has the power to change lives — and that’s why we’re proud to be partnering with Changing Lives Community Services (CLCS), an inspiring non-profit organisation making a real difference across Harlow and Colchester.

CLCS focuses on creating opportunities for young people through sport, mentoring, and education. Their mission is to help children and teenagers build confidence, stay active, and find positive paths forward. They run a diverse range of free programmes that bring communities together, promote wellbeing, and give every young person a chance to shine — regardless of background or circumstance.

Empowering the Community Through Sport

CLCS offers a variety of projects designed to engage and inspire:

  • Free half-term activity camps that keep children active during holidays
  • Youth mentoring and sports sessions to build teamwork and self-belief
  • Coach education courses to develop future community leaders
  • School sports programmes combining fitness, fun, and learning
  • Community initiatives including a men’s refugee cricket team, cooking groups, youth basketball, and boxing workshops

Since its launch in 2018, CLCS has supported over 10,700 young people and delivered more than 3,700 activity sessions. The results are remarkable: participants report feeling more confident, more active, and more connected to their communities than ever before.

A Partnership with Purpose

That’s where PDL Padel United UK comes in.
We’ve teamed up with CLCS at our Colchester venue, offering free court time so that the children supported by the charity can come along, try padel, and discover a new way to enjoy sport in a safe, welcoming environment.

For many of these young players, it’s their first introduction to padel — one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK. It’s easy to pick up, fun to play, and fantastic for teamwork, communication, and confidence. Watching these children learn, laugh, and grow on court has been an incredible experience for everyone involved.

Making Sport Accessible for All

This collaboration is already bringing new faces to the courts and helping build stronger community ties. It’s a powerful example of what happens when local organisations work together — combining passion, space, and purpose to create positive social impact.

We’re genuinely excited to continue developing this partnership and to show how padel can be a gateway to confidence, friendship, and wellbeing for young people of all backgrounds.

There are so many ways to be part of this journey. You can volunteer, donate, or support CLCS through their community programmes.

At PDL Padel United UK, we’re not just building courts.
We’re building confidence, friendships, and brighter futures — one game at a time.
