Exciting news for padel enthusiasts in North-West London! PDL Padel United UK is thrilled to confirm that we have received full planning permission for two brand-new outdoor padel courts at Willesden Leisure Centre.
This marks the ninth venue in our growing network across the UK, further cementing our commitment to expanding this dynamic and accessible sport.
A huge thank you goes out to our incredible partners at 1Life Leisure for their assistance throughout the planning process and to the local council for their overwhelmingly positive support. With construction scheduled to begin early next year, we’re targeting an official opening date of April 1st, 2025. More details will be shared in the coming months, so stay tuned!
A Steady Expansion Built on Community
Our expansion isn’t just about growing the sport—it’s about bringing communities together. Willesden’s new courts will provide a fantastic facility for players of all ages and abilities to come together, stay active, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes padel so special.
At PDL Padel United, we believe in growing our network carefully and thoughtfully. Each venue we open is designed to meet the unique needs of its local area, ensuring that our facilities are always a valued addition to the community. The two courts at Willesden Leisure Centre are no exception, offering an exciting new way for residents to engage with sport in a fun and inclusive way.
What Makes Padel the Perfect Fit for Willesden?
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, known for its easy-to-learn rules and social nature. It’s the perfect fit for Willesden Leisure Centre, which already serves as a hub for community fitness and recreation. By adding padel courts to the site, we’re giving residents another great reason to get active and enjoy time with friends, family, and fellow players.
What’s Next for PDL Padel United UK?
Our journey doesn’t stop here. With nine venues already secured and plans for more in the pipeline, we’re committed to growing the sport across the UK. From London to the South Coast and beyond, we’re steadily building a network of courts that makes padel accessible to everyone.
We’re excited to see how the new Willesden courts will bring even more people into the world of padel, helping to grow not just our facilities but the sport itself.
