Introducing Padel to the Next Generation
Last week, Padel United Plymouth was thrilled to welcome Sporty Stars for a special kids’ padel session at Marjon. Sporty Stars, an award-winning provider of sports-based activity experiences, are well known for their engaging and fun-filled programmes — and this time, we were excited to help them add padel to their growing list of sports.

Over 25 Young Players Take to the Court
Organised by Sally Lewin, more than 25 children, aged between 5 and 12, picked up their rackets and stepped onto the courts full of energy and enthusiasm. The session began with fun coordination drills before moving into lively hitting games. Despite most being completely new to padel, the kids picked it up incredibly quickly, showing just how easy it is to start playing the UK’s fastest-growing sport.
Fun for Everyone — Kids and Staff Alike
It wasn’t just the kids getting involved — the Sporty Stars staff joined in too, creating a fantastic, supportive atmosphere on court. By the end of the session, many of the young players were confidently hitting some impressive shots and enjoying the thrill of long rallies.

Looking Ahead: More Kids’ Coaching at Padel United
Following the success of this event, we’re looking forward to partnering with Sporty Stars again for future holiday camps and helping padel become a regular feature in their programmes.
Keep an eye out for more kids’ coaching sessions, family events, and holiday camps coming soon at Padel United Plymouth.
The future of padel is bright — and it starts with the next generation.
