Torquay Social Padel Coordinator:
Paul Lomas – Supporting the Growth of Padel in Torquay
At every great padel club, there are people who quietly keep everything running smoothly — the ones who welcome newcomers, build community, and create the kind of atmosphere players want to return to. In Torquay, that person is Paul Lomas, our dedicated Torquay League Administrator and an essential part of the Padel United team.
What Paul Does for the Torquay Padel Community
Paul runs and organises two weekly mix-in sessions, creating a friendly space where players of all levels can jump in, meet new people, and enjoy genuinely good games. He also designs fair and engaging match formats, matching players by ability while ensuring everyone gets both comfortable rallies and the more challenging points that help them raise their game.
He’s a constant presence on-site in Torquay, always ready to help with anything from player questions to group coordination, making sure everything runs smoothly. Paul also assists with our tournaments and events, bringing structure, support, and a welcoming energy that makes each one feel special.
Beyond the court, Paul actively helps promote the venue and grow the local padel community. New players in particular benefit from his friendly guidance — he explains what’s available, points them toward the right sessions, and helps them feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Why Volunteers Like Paul Matter
Padel thrives when people feel welcomed, supported, and connected. Thanks to Paul’s enthusiasm and commitment, Torquay has become a vibrant hub where players of all abilities feel encouraged, included, and excited to return each week.
If you see Paul around the courts, say hello, join a mix-in, or jump into a league — he’ll make sure you’re in the right place, playing the right games, and enjoying every minute.
And if you have ideas for new meet-ins, social events, group bookings, or ways to bring more people into the sport, we’d love to hear from you. Building a strong padel community is a team effort, and your input can help shape the next chapter of Padel United Torquay.
