Padel is the world’s fastest-growing sport for very good reasons and that tells you it is something that you should be getting involved in! Originally coming from Mexico and evolving in Spain, padel is a huge sport in many countries from all corners of the globe and is a sport that is rapidly growing in the UK as well, pioneered by PDL Padel United, and continues to grow and grow.

Padel is a racket sport that is rapidly growing due to its simplicity, and the fact that it is easy to pick up for anyone of any age, background, gender, and ability. A vast majority of our regular players had never played a racket sport before and are now hooked by the sport! It can be played and thoroughly enjoyed both by people with no sporting experience and people who have a deep history in sports and want to get to the top of their game. It maybe simple in essence, but there is also a lot of depth to the game. This means there is always room to improve and work on your game – even right at the top level!

Padel is mainly played in doubles meaning it is a very social game and is the perfect sport for groups of families and friends to all play together. It is a sport that can be played with a group ranging in abilities and the game can still be competitive and enjoyable. The sport is perfect for people who are looking to do exercise while having fun, it can be played at an intensity that suits the players, at a standstill walking pace or you can have an intense workout with some great cardio training.

The best way to describe the sport is a mix of tennis and squash, however, it is unique as a racket sport both technically and tactically making it the perfect new sport to learn. It is played on a smaller-sized tennis court which is surrounded by glass and cage walls. This enhances the game and allows the rallies to carry on for longer than other racket sports.
