Reasons why Padel Has Become A Big Hit At The New PDL Padel United Locations.
More and more people in Essex, The South East, Plymouth and soon Liverpool and The Wirral are finding out why Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the world!
1. A fantastic way to keep fit
Padel is a great way to exercise. It’s intense and exciting whatever your level and ability, and you can play at your own pace, BUT you’ll be moving around the court, playing hard for maybe an hour.
It’s a perfect way to get your recommended cardio exercise and is a relatively ‘low-impact’ sport.

Beginner players can still enjoy a game without needing to run around the court too much or put themselves under too much strain. The playing area is smaller than tennis courts, which also means less running around.
Because of the design of the racket and balls, you also don’t need the same brute power as you do in tennis or squash. For anyone with knees, shoulder, elbow, or back problems, it’s much less stressful on your joints.
2. It’s a famously sociable sport!
Padel is played in doubles meaning four people on the court, and it relies on teamwork and communication which means it’s a famously social sport. You’ll need to work closely together!
The Padel community we have built at each of our venues is also very friendly and we run regular fun and competitive events and social occasions for our players. We also have F&B facilities at a lot of our locations which means you can enjoy a get-together before and after your game.
3. Affordable to play
The equipment needed like Padel rackets are much cheaper than a comparable level tennis racket for example, and even advanced rackets from brands like Head, Nox, and Wilson will seldom cost more than around £150. Many good rackets are much cheaper. Speak to our coaches about this and we can advise and sometimes offer an opportunity to buy the racket you need. A quality padel racket will last you for a long time, and, like most people do you can always upgrade as you get better at the game.
It’s very competitively priced to rent a court too as compared to some other sports. And the cost is shared between four people!

4. A great way to relax after work or a stressful day
Padel takes you outside your normal day! It’s an engaging sport and to play requires concentration, you are always learning new tactics and strategies so it stimulates and exercises your mind as well as your body. This is an important part of padel play and means you are fully engaged in the moment, and so a game can fully engage you and provide a welcome escape from the everyday stresses and anxieties we can all experience.
.The game is all about combining physical exercise, communication, and mental focus, so it’s great for anyone looking for a complete workout. Something for your mind, body, and soul!
